About
Tiffany Vassalo graduated with her master’s degree in speech-language pathology in 2018. Her journey as an SLP began much earlier, when her grandma Peggy experienced aphasia secondary to a stroke in her teenage years. Seeing her grandmother struggle to put words together after Peggy’s impressive life as a single mother and the first female lieutenant for her local sheriff’s department was confusing and heartbreaking to witness. It has been extremely rewarding to help others overcome their communication challenges in memory of Peggy.
Since graduating, Tiffany has gained experiences helping others communicate, whether they be age 1 or 100+. She has worked in preschools, elementary schools, middle schools, high schools, long-term acute care, independent living facilities, assisted living facilities, memory care facilities, skilled nursing facilities, and private practices.
Tiffany’s personal experience with her grandmother, her wide range of experience, and becoming a mother herself in recent years has shaped her understanding of the caregivers’ experiences as their loved one struggles to communicate as expected.
At Vassalo Speech, we aim to target the specific goals of the client and their loved ones to truly create meaningful progress in the areas of communication. We’d love to be a part of your journey to better speech and language!
